Whether we're talking about heritage, common goods or just natural resources, contemporary environmental law, both at the national and international level, has been built on this awareness of the need to protect the biosphere.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-43d6587\" data-id=\"43d6587\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6bffd0b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6bffd0b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"translation-block\">But are our standards ambitious enough to meet the challenges of the Anthropocene, which marks a new age for humankind? Will the ecological, energy and solidarity transition amplify the societal mutation initiated by sustainable development with a view to consolidate this environmental shield against humans themselves? The principle of non-regression, enshrined in the first articles of the Environmental Code, is one step in this direction, but what role does it play?
